Another friend recommended Mercadito (West Village location) to me just last night so I guess we are going to have to get there!

what is a haul to you is so close to us — and that place sounds AWESOME. (tho thanks for the sugared-rim warning — WTF??) we will TOTALLY try it.

fwiw, a couple weeks ago we had brunch at mercadito cantina on ave b (again, completely inconvenient for you) and it was really, really good. great and interesting guacs and salsas and drinks, and i had a perfect little plate of fish tacos — our shared passion — with tilapia, poblano chile and tomatillo-garlic mojo.

let’s make our momo-milkdate!

Hi Spatula Queen. My husband enjoyed the lobster pasta, but he didn’t love it. We can’t quite pinpoint the shortcomings of the dish, but I think that it may have been over-seasoned (would have preferred a simpler dish that let the lobster flavor shine through). Of course, the experience alone is worth the $17 for the dish. I didn’t find the portions small – no smaller than the normal menu items.
